Bio: April Maxey is a queer mixed Chicana filmmaker born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, based in Los Angeles by way of New York. Her work often centers intimacy and connection within the queer experience and her approach to directing is informed by her background in cinematography, editing, and acting.
